The NFP Online Community is free to all people everywhere.

The Online Community is a web-based service from The National Free Press that allows our readers to join in with an online community that is built into the NFP Website framework. Members can update their Profile through their web browser with a simple and easy to use interface.

It is a place where people can create a personal Profile and have a more mature yet friendly display of themselves, their interests and their written work all within the umbrella of the NFP.


Membership Accounts

The National Free Press currently has two membership accounts.

- Public Membership
- Sponsor Membership


Public Memberships: Free

Joining up as a Public Member supports the NFP at the very roots of its core and is open for everyone. A NFP Online Community account is available for free to all valid registrants. Public Memberships offer a wide variety of features and have many benefits

Once registered as a Public Member, each user receives his or her own Online Community Area (OCA) to...

- get a NFP WordPress Blog to call your own,
- play a game in the Games Room,
- use of the Free Press Forum,
- Member Only Contests with awesome prizes!
- post information, pictures, etc. in your Profile,
- have access to great Member Bonuses and Specials!
- email other NFP Members,
- create a Connections list,
- use of the Comments feature to post your say after an Editorial or News Story,
- post a note on a friend's 'wall',
- invite a friend to join the NFP Online Community,
- have Automatic Links to all of your published NFP Editorials, Letters, Articles and more.


Sponsor Membership: $50.

The Sponsor Membership is a Donation to the National Free Press and is used entirely to power this public dedicated project. Help us build the world's only Public Media System and we'll send you a FREE NFP T-shirt to say thanks! The NFP is a private not-for-profit organization and every donation helps.

Paid Memberships are for the Lifetime of the Sponsor. Sponsor Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Once a username is chosen and paid for, that user generally retains it until the journal is deleted, whether by The National Free Press or the user. There is no cash value, nor reduction in Sponsor Membership rate regarding the T-shirt gifts. Tax-deductible receipts are not available.

These Memberships are bestowed upon those people or organizations that have earned by virtue, a recognition of "Work Excellence" by the NFP for causes and issues covering Free Speech, Free Press and/or Human Rights around the globe.


For all Contributors to the NFP...

All Contributors* to the NFP are encouraged to sign-up for the free Public Membership. The NFP is a Public Entity and in the spirit of the NFP and what it stands for, all Contributors are encouraged to sign-up in the NFP Online Community. It serves both our Contributors as a means to have space to let people know who they are, what they write and more; and it's also for the Public to read about the people behind the Editorials, Letters, the Cartoons and others who lend their stories to the NFP.

- Memberships are another way for the NFP to raise funding for this website and the NFP Publication. Joining the NFP Online Community as a paid member means you've donated to the NFP - not us. For more information about supporting the NFP - please click here.

- The NFP does not hide material from the Public as a means to recruit members; all submitted material is displayed provided it meets the NFP Publishing Standards. For example, Members are able to see all the articles a particular writer has written by visiting their Profile space.

- Memberships are open to anyone over 18 years of age, provided they are a current resident of this or any other planet.

- By the way, we're not into selling, renting, or leasing the names and other info of our Members to anyone.

- Prices are subject to change without notice and packages are subjected to availability.
