In this day and age, it is no longer feasible for anyone to be content in their jobs. Everyone is constantly finding means and ways to make things more efficient, and reducing the need of manpower or costs in producing different products. Companies are always trying to improve, given our global competition.

But it is no longer the companies who have to be worried in trying to improve themselves. We all have to constantly improve ourselves as well. This was proven by many new situations. As costs have to go down, outsourcing has brought jobs overseas.

But as it is also noticed, jobs that are outsourced to humans are now being developed to be outsourced to machine. We have to understand one key talent with humans that is still not being outsourced to machines, innovation and self-improvement. We have to make ourselves obsolete everyday if we want to be better than who we were yesterday.

The concept of self-evolution involves a goal we have to set, and what are we doing about it. Knowledge and application of knowledge, self mastery, and mastery of craft are key in improving us. Even artists have to evolve their designs to provide a forward looking concept, something no one has ever thought of, and advance from there.

There has never been a solid company to work for, nor will there be, as everyone now realize, giants can get hurt, and can even fall. Loyalty is important in ensuring our career can grow, but complete dependence on a company will have to be considered foolish. We have to constantly sell ourselves as assets, without remorse or pity asked from others, this way, we will be the one in demand, and not the other way around. This also plays the same role with companies, who are constantly vulnerable to change. Kodak was number 1 with film until everything became digital, and many other companies lost their key positions because they did not go along with change. Change has to happen, and will keep on happening, only because efficiency is a constant need.

One of the major cause of further failure is the downward spiral. Self depression after a negative situation merely worsens the overall state. To keep things afloat, there has to be correction, and with correction, comes the need to re evaluate and correct whatever could have caused the problem in the first place. This will then assure that we become stronger the next time around.

In the quest to become better, several different aspects in ourselves have to evolve aside from our professional career. We all wear different hats and have to improve in each and every aspect. The key is to become more complete, and more evolved, to not only cause a ripple of positive change in ourselves, but to everywhere around us. This in mind, we not only move with change, we initiate change.
