Robert Redeker, a lycée professor, published a critical essay on Islam. For that crime of opinion, the imam Yusuf al-Qaradawi, and others, condemned him to death. The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and its student government led by Gupta have violated the First Amendment by freezing funds for 33 student media organizations, dissolving the student-run television station, and threatening to punish students involved in a constitutionally-protected controversy. UCSD is detracting from its message of moral outrage by committing so many violations of the First Amendment,” said Foundation for Individual Rights in Education Vice President Robert Shibley. “UCSD now must undo the damage to free speech and resist the pressure to punish protected expression.”

Howard Zinn, Professor Emeritus, Boston University - N.B.: Boston University has been designated a red-light university by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education because it possesses "at least one policy that both clearly and substantally restricts freedom of speech". Zinn has likely been a long-time collaborator in the PC scourge eating away at democracy at BU and elsewhere in Academe. He is an ordained professor emeritus, friend and member of the university established-order. To rise to such a rank in academe, on emust learn where to see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.
